Steve Speirs
Steve Speirs is a Welsh actor and writer.
He was born in Troed-y-Rhiw,
in the borough of Merthyr Tydfil.
He joined the National Youth
Theatre of Wales and
studied drama at
Loughborough University.
Spiers has appeared in many films such as
Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace and
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest.
He wrote his first film,
Caught in the Act, in 2008
based on his memories of growing up in South Wales.
It was filmed in the Merthyr Tydfil area.
Andrew Coombs
Andrew is a former Wales international rugby union player who played Flanker, Lock, and number 8.
He played his debut match in the Millennium Stadium for Wales on 2nd February 2013
Coombs made his debut for the Newport Gwent Dragons regional team in the 2009–10 season having previously played for Newport RFC and Pontypool RFC.
Coombs retired from rugby in June 2016
Coombs attended
Ysgol Gyfun Rhydywaun, and is a fluent Welsh speaker.
Charlotte Carey
Charlotte Carey is a Welsh table tennis player. Her highest career ITTF ranking was 98 in 2018. Carey comes from Ebbw Vale and attended Glyncoed Comprehensive School. began playing in 2006 and trained at the Sport Wales National Centre in Cardiff.
Carey was the youngest member of the team selected to compete for Wales.
